I had a great time camping in the Big Cypress National Preserve. Monument Campground is one of 3 campgrounds in the Preserve. This is primitive camping - no hookups (electric, water, sewer). There is one pit toilet and one bathhouse which does have running water. The camp sites surround the square lake. I saw several alligators in the lake even out on the bank. Lot's of birds. While there I arrived on a clear night and saw soooo many stars, I see why this is a popular star gazing place. The bugs are pretty bad in the evening, but during the day it was pretty windy so not so much. I also took a hike with the Rangers through a Cypress Dome, it was truly an amazing experience. I have 3 power stations. I know overkill, but I never run out of power when I am boondocking, at least for my needs. Here are the 3 stations I use. Oops I forgot about my baby power station Elecaenta so that makes 4... None of these items are sponsored. I bought all of them myself for my own use.
