I had a great time camping in the Big Cypress National Preserve. Monument Campground is one of 3 campgrounds in the Preserve. This is primitive camping - no hookups (electric, water, sewer). There is one pit toilet and one bathhouse which does have running water. The camp sites surround the square lake. I saw several alligators in the lake even out on the bank. Lot's of birds. While there I arrived on a clear night and saw soooo many stars, I see why this is a popular star gazing place. The bugs are pretty bad in the evening, but during the day it was pretty windy so not so much. I also took a hike with the Rangers through a Cypress Dome, it was truly an amazing experience. I have 3 power stations. I know overkill, but I never run out of power when I am boondocking, at least for my needs. Here are the 3 stations I use. Oops I forgot about my baby power station Elecaenta so that makes 4... None of these items are sponsored. I bought all of them myself for my own use. Dry Camping (no electric, water, or sewer hookups) in the Everglades National Park. There are 2 campgrounds in the park, one is a few miles in from the entrance and the other (Flamingo Campground) is 38 Miles to the end of the park. I stayed at Flamingo. It rained the entire time I was there, but still was a great experience. I also toured an alligator farm near Miami Florida. Follow along on my Solo Female Tiny Camper trips.
Gamble Rogers State park has 2 campground sections, one on the ocean and the other just across A1A. Nothing like camping with the windows open and hearing the ocean. The sites are very short on the Ocean side.
Girls trip with my cousins. Didnt film much, but I put together some of the clips i did catch, so sorry if the video is all over the place LOL. 7 Nights, 8 days of traveling. We really did not have a destination but ended up finding some beautiful places. Tennessee, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia... Follow along on my Solo Female Tiny Camper trips.
Grayton Beach State Park is on the emarald coast just 30 minutes east of Destin Florida. Nice cozy campground. Follow along on my Solo Female Tiny Camper trips.
I finally made it to Henderson State Park. I have watch so many videos and heard how beautiful this beach is. It was hard for me to believe as some of the gulf beaches are marshy in the central area. It is a beautiful as they say and Henderson Beach State Park is one of the best State Parks I have stayed at so far. I will be back for sure. Follow along on my Solo Female Tiny Camper trips.
Spent a few days at Mutual Mine Campground in the Withlacoochee Forest. Dry Camping - no electric, water, or sewer hookups. It was very hot (upper 90s every day), so thankfully I brought my portable AC which made sleeping more comfortable. The only downside was there are no pets allowed so I had to take my pups to my son. There where only 2 campers in the entire campground, the other person was on the opposite side so we never saw or heard each other. It was very peaceful. The only sounds were the sound of nature. Very relaxing trip.
