Grayton Beach State Park is on the emarald coast just 30 minutes east of Destin Florida. Nice cozy campground. Follow along on my Solo Female Tiny Camper trips.
I finally made it to Henderson State Park. I have watch so many videos and heard how beautiful this beach is. It was hard for me to believe as some of the gulf beaches are marshy in the central area. It is a beautiful as they say and Henderson Beach State Park is one of the best State Parks I have stayed at so far. I will be back for sure. Follow along on my Solo Female Tiny Camper trips.
Spent a few days at Mutual Mine Campground in the Withlacoochee Forest. Dry Camping - no electric, water, or sewer hookups. It was very hot (upper 90s every day), so thankfully I brought my portable AC which made sleeping more comfortable. The only downside was there are no pets allowed so I had to take my pups to my son. There where only 2 campers in the entire campground, the other person was on the opposite side so we never saw or heard each other. It was very peaceful. The only sounds were the sound of nature. Very relaxing trip.
This trip I visited Jekyll Island Georgia. I had a reservation the previous weekend, but had to cancel. I found one campsite open for this weekend and I booked it. Not paying attention this site was meant for a 10' or less camper. I made it work. This Island has alot of history, and the beaches are amazing. I love that they allow pets on the beaches, not sure why so many other beaches dont allow this. I never saw any signs of people not picking up after their pets. Smokey and Pepper had a blast.
This is a free campsite. Just a few miles from the Wildwood Exit on Hwy 75 and at the north end of the Florida Turnpike. This would make a nice stop over if traveling on 75. You have to make a reservation on the SWFWMD (Southwest Florida Water Management District) https://www.swfwmd.state.fl.us/ website, but it is free. This is dry camping (Boondocking) no electric, no water, no sewer. There is a restroom with flush toilets on site. There are water spigots near by as well. Very peaceful place. I enjoyed staying under the trees, but there is a big open field if you want to charge up with your solar.
Family trip with my cousins. Camping and swimming in one of the beautiful clear springs in the Ocala National Forest - Alexander Springs.
Finally made it to the Florida State Caverns State Park. This park and campground is still recovering from the Category 5 Hurricane Michael in 2018. It was a nice visit, lots of hiking trails and the cavern kept me busy for a few days. Not much more to do in the area though. Follow along on my Solo Female Tiny Camper trips.
